"Summer Shadows"

This old fruit cellar sits on my property near Sam's Creek. It was on the last tract of land my dad bought from Mr. Nuece Jordan in 1965. Only the rock remain today. It is ironic that an earlier bland version of this cellar I painted (my third painting) that R. C. Gorman saw and invited me to do a show with him in Old Town Albuequerque, NM. It was the begining of my art career and a lasting friendship with Gorman. I will never forget the help and ecouragement from R.C. to a then farmer from Tennessee. I will always treasure his belief in me and support of my art.
