Southern American Realism

This is Sams Creek. It runs through my property for about one mile. It was named after an early settler that came through in the early 1800's. It has a lot of good swimming holes along the route. It empties into the Cumberland River about one mile from where this painting was made. This particular part was always a good watering hole for our cows, as they would stand for hours staying cool in the summer months.
