Southern American Realism

The setting for this was in Uncle Verge's orchard. My neighbor who was eighteen at the time and living on what was once part of the farm saw the painting and declared "That's my apple tree" and so the name. The farm was sold back in 1967 after uncle Verge's death and I painted a few scenes from the old farm. This painting was one of my early ones painted in 1979.
