Southern American Realism

 This scene is looking across the street from the porch of our gallery in Charlotte, Tn. As you can see, it's pretty quiet...not a car in sight. The wall surrounds the courthouse, (which is just out of the picture) in the town square. It's the oldest working courthouse in Tennessee. Pretty peaceful setting, good to paint in. This painting was sketched from our porch in October a few years ago.....right before Halloween.
