"Allen House"

This is the house built by my great-great- grandfather, George Sugg Allen, in 1826. The house still stands and I have the deed signed by the then Governor of Tennessee, Sam Houston. They paid eighteen cents for the original eighteen acres that the house stands on. In later years they accumulated around four thousand acres to go with    the original property.
